The usage of the public transport should be promoted as it reduces the number of vehicles plying on the road. Thus using much lesser fuel than would have been done by if all of the passengers would have used their personal vehicles. And eventually the amount of pollutant emitted due to the transportation will be much lesser.
The driver should always apply proper driving techniques so as to reduce the fuel consumption. Due to rash and ineffective driving the fuel consumption always goes high.
Even the alternative fuels like hydrogen can also be taken into consideration. These are generally cheap and are also easily available. Thus there is conservation of the natural resources as well.

Automobile has surely become a part and parcel of our life which has helped the society in its progression.
