Proper watering is considered the most important component of hyroseeded lawn. While over watering can cause drowning of seeds, very little water can lead to parched and dying turf. Therefore extreme caution needs to be taken while watering the turf. In general a new hydroseeded lawn requires watering one to three times a day. Use of mulching mowers immediately after hydroseeding is not recommended; instead conventional mowers should be used. The lawn should be sufficiently dry while moving, as moist lawns can cause it to have deep ruts. In terms of fertilizers, usually, the fertilizers are already sprayed in the slurry; therefore additional fertilizers are not required for atleast five to seeks weeks after hydroseeding. Sometimes despite your care, the problem of weeds crop, to deal with this you can apply herbicides as suggested by the experts. Usually, weed control program is started after the third round of mowing. There are certain other precautions you need to take like having good drainage facility, good aeration etc, to prevent the growth of fungus.
