Making kitchen cabinets of mahogany wood is especially recommended, as it is very durable and resistant to any changes like shrinking and swelling. Likewise, oak is considered ideal to make kitchen flooring and counter tops, as they are strong but very flexible. Maple wood can be used for making drawers and other décor items as it has a great texture and is very strong and hard. Most of the kitchen panels and décor is made of pine wood as it is soft wood, has a great texture and can be properly worked upon. Also, pine finishing is extremely rewarding and hence preferred greatly for kitchen furniture.
