The Megger test indicates the condition of ground insulation. However, it does not measure the turn-to-turn state of the insulation, and may not register localized weaknesses. Electricians use this new series of insulation testers from megger as they guarantee high accuracy combined with stability of calibration. In this new series all the insulation test instruments provide indication of insulation resistance up to 999Mohms, 200mA continuity buzzer and facilities for nullifying the resistance of the test leads. The entry-level range offers insulation test voltages of 250V and 500V and the higher range models allow testing at 250V, 500V and 1,000V. In addition to the basic features, the Megger MIT300 series adds a default voltmeter function with a backlit display, illuminated range panel, insulation limit alarm, resistance measurement, and an adjustable threshold for the continuity buzzer.
