Temperature sensors are the most common type of sensors used for keeping products like electrical components at specified temperatures. These sensors are also used for medical purposes. Temperature sensors catch the increasing temperature in your home and make the air condition switch. These sensors should be installed in such a way that it should be in contact with the appliances producing heat.

An occupancy sensor technology helps saving energy and wealth by limiting lighting, appliances, and heating and cooling, when rooms and zones are unoccupied for certain duration of time. Homes that do not have natural light, an occupancy sensor can be highly conserving when connected to background lighting. These sensors are functioned to operate the lights only when people are in the house. There are two common types of occupancy sensors. They are Infrared sensors and ultra-sonic sensors. Ultra-sonic sensors are paramount in rooms with partitions and divisions. Infrared sensors are better mainly for open areas. Some sensors include both of the features. Integrated units include the sensor and relay in a single housing that fits into a standard electrical box and hence priced more reasonably for residential applications.
