Long saws
Structure of the long saws Long saws are generally made up of steel. One side of the steel is made into very rough edges. It takes the shape of several teeth protruding out. The other side of the steel is left as it is. The width of the long saws are not much. But the length of the long saws are generally greater than the width. The steel body is then fixed in a wooden handle. The wooden handle generally has got a big hole in the middle. The edge of the steel plate projecting out as steel is being used for the purpose of cutting wood. The wooden handle is there for the handyman to hold the long saw. The big hole in the wooden part helps the handyman to properly grip the long saw. Thus the long saw is a tool easy to produce and very hassle free to handle. Usage of long saws Long saws play a very important part in our lives. It is among the fundamental tool every handyman should posses. With the advent of many sophisticated tools this basic tool has not lost its worth. The basic and primary usage of the long saw is in the making of the furniture.
