A jungle gym is a climbing frame, usually constructed of steel, wood or plastic that is a unique addition to a backyard playground. A jungle gym is an excellent play station for growing children and is appropriately also known as an adventure playground or monkey bars. A jungle gym is made of many pieces of thin material that a child can climb, swing from, hang or sit on. It is usually large and cubic-shaped and was invented in 1920.
